Purpose: Link approver groups created in the Groups application to Slack channels and groups to determine who approves item dispatches, procurements, and other related actions.
Scenario: You want to set a slack channel where certain individuals have to approve the procurement of items. You need to set up the approval group in Groups application then configure the categories in Supply Chan application.
Key terms:
Approval Type - this sets the actions that approvers can do
Approver Group - this links the group of users who are able to approve. (Click here to see how to create the approval group in Groups app)
Approval Slack Channel ID - the channel that shows the notifications for approving items.
Items Receipt Slack Channel ID - the channel where it sends pictures of the items that have been received.
Follow the steps:
Log in to Supply Chain. Click here to see how to log in.
Click on the hamburger menu.
Click on Categories.
Click on '+' on the top right corner to create a new category.
Fill in the Category details and save.
