Purpose: The shift position is used to assign shifts on a template to an employee when scheduling shifts.
Scenario: In the case that you want to create a template for shifts that you can use on weekly basis or to schedule for events, you need to create this template using positions of employees. Positions are the different responsibilities assigned to an employee and they are made out of skillsets.
Key words:
Shift Position - this is the name of the position.
Shift Type - these are different types of shifts.
A Primary shift is the normal shift that is assigned to an employee for that particular day.
A Secondary shift is the shift that an employee can do regardless of the main shift that's assigned to him/her. For example, one can go assist in ICT installations when his main task is to be an ICT kiosk custodian.
On call shifts do not require a timesheet logged. The employee is called to perform a certain task when need arises.
Shift Time of Day - this is used to tell if the shift will be during the day or night.
Department - this is the department that is associated with the skill.
Skill Required - you can select the skills that have been entered in skillsets or create skillsets by clicking 'Creating Matching Skill'
Position Group - Position groups are the headings within assignments that help to group/categorize positions.
Appearance Sequence -
Timesheet Approval - if this is toggled on the person in this position can approve timesheet.
Follow the steps to in order to create and edit positions:
Using your computer browser, Log in at app.luvelo.org/shifts
Click on 'Positions' to see a list of all departmental positions.
Click 'New Shift Position' to start adding the skills to the position.
Enter the shift position details
Click "Time Allocation" tab.
Click + Add Time Allocation
Choose Time Allocation and save
If you want to edit the position, search for the position on the search bar and click on the name to edit.
