Purpose: To define and manage specific roles or job titles within a shift. Shift Positions ensure that each scheduled shift has clearly identified responsibilities, required skillsets, and departmental alignment, allowing schedulers to assign the right personnel to the appropriate duties efficiently.
Accessing the App

Using your computer browser, Log in at app.luvelo.org/shifts
Creating a Shift Position
Click on 'Positions' to see a list of all departmental positions.
From the department dropdown, select the department for which you are creating the shift position.
Click 'New Shift Position' to start adding the skills to the position.
Enter the shift position details: Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory, while those without are optional:
Shift Position - Identifies the specific role or job title assigned to the shift..
Shift Type - these are different types of shifts.
A Primary shift is the normal shift that is assigned to an employee for that particular day. It also determines the clocking in and out time.
A Secondary shift is the shift that an employee can do while clocked in for the primary shift.
On call shifts - The person is on standby and called to perform a certain task when the need arises.
Is Leave - Marks the shift as a leave entry rather than a working shift.
Shift Time of Day - This is used to tell if the shift will be during the day or night.
Department - Indicates which department the shift belongs to.
Skill Required - Specifies the skillset needed to perform the shift duties. You can select the skills that have been created in skillsets or create skillsets by clicking 'Creating Matching Skill'
Position Group - Groups related positions or job titles under one classification.
Appearance Sequence - Determines the order in which shifts appear on the schedule or roster view.
Click "Time Allocation" tab.
Click + Add Time Allocation.
Choose Time Allocation and save
If an employee works on only one project while clocked in under a specific position, select the relevant Time Allocation and set it to 100%.
If the employee performs multiple projects under the same position, select all applicable Time Allocations and distribute the percentages accordingly so that the total equals 100%.
