Purpose: To track how much time is spent on a specific task under a certain shift position.
Scenario: As the scheduler for the AF department, you want to create a shift position named AF Trainee. This shift position will involve cleaning around campus and doing laundry. The person filling this position will spend 80% of their time cleaning and 20% doing laundry. To create the different time allocations for these two tasks, you will use Time Allocations. Here is how you create Time Allocations so that they can then be used in Shift Positions.

Log in to Luvelo Shifts by visiting app.luvelo.org/shifts in your web browser.
Creating a Time Allocation
Click on 'Other' and select 'Time Allocations'. A new window will open.
Click on the 'New Time Allocation' button to create a new Time Allocation.
Enter the Time Allocation details:
Name: The title or label used to identify a specific time allocation category (e.g., Training, Administration, Client Work).
Code: A short, unique identifier or abbreviation for the time allocation (e.g., TRN, ADM, CLW).
Departments: The departments within the organization to which this time allocation applies.
Company: Specifies which company or business entity the time allocation belongs to (useful if multiple companies are managed in the same system).
Status: Indicates whether the time allocation is Active or Inactive (only active ones can be used in scheduling or reporting).
Click the 'Save' button to save the new Time Allocation.
