Creating a Shift Templates

Steps on how to add shifts on an existing shifts template in Luvelo

Purpose: Adding shifts to templates allows you to include positions in the template that will later be used for scheduling.

Scenario: For an employee to begin a working shift, they must clock in to a shift they have been assigned. These assigned shifts are also used to create templates, which are reused on a weekly basis to make shift creation easier and faster.

Accessing the App

Application Role Required: Shift Configurations Admin

  1. Log in to Luvelo Shifts by visiting app.luvelo.org/shifts in your web browser.

Creating a Shift Template

  1. Click on 'Other' and select 'Templates'. A new window will open.

  2. Click on "New Template"

  3. Fill in the template details

    • Event Shift Template Name - Specifies the name or title of the shift template created for a specific event or recurring activity.

    • Shift Template Type - Defines the category or usage type of the template.

      • Event - for one-time or special projects.

      • Weekly - for regular operations.

    • Mechanism - Defines the method or structure through which the event shift operates.

    • Status - Indicates the current state of the shift template.

Adding Shifts to a template

  1. Select the template you want to add shifts to by clicking on the name.

  2. Click on "Add Shift"

  3. Fill out shift details and click 'Save'.

    • Shift Position - Choose the shift position you want to add.

    • Shift Type - Defines the category or nature of the shift.

    • Shift Start Day - Specifies the day of the week when the shift begins.

    • Scheduled Start Time - Indicates the exact time the shift begins on the start day.

    • Shift Finish Day - Specifies the day of the week when the shift ends.

    • Scheduled End Time - Indicates the exact time the shift ends on the finish day.
