Purpose: This article will show you how to create a new broadcast using the Luvelo Shifts Application.
Scenario: Your team has finished creating the weekly schedule, and you want to share the staffing details for certain shifts in your department to a specific Slack channel. This way, everyone in that channel can see who is assigned to each shift. Here’s how you can do it.
Follow the steps below:
You need to be logged into the Shifts Application. Click here to see how
Click on 'Other' and select Broadcasts.
Now you can view the list of existing broadcasts.
Click on the 'New Broadcast' button to add a new Broadcast.
Enter the broadcast details, including the name, scheduled time, message header, and the Slack channel where the broadcast will be sent.
Click on the 'Save' button at the bottom of the popup.
Now that you have created the Broadcast Template, click on the broadcast you have just created to add the shifts which you want to broadcast to the specified slack group.
Click on the 'Add Shift' button.
Select the different shifts you want to broadcast by clicking on their checkboxes.
Click on the 'Save' button at the bottom of the form to save your broadcast.
