Purpose: The purpose of a timecode is to define the nature of an employee’s time entry so the system can correctly interpret attendance, payroll eligibility, and leave or work status.

Is Credited on Exit: is employee paid their balance on exit (Resignation, Deactivated etc.)
Accessing the App
Required Role: TimecodeAdmin
Log in to Luvelo Shifts by visiting app.luvelo.org/shifts in your web browser.
Creating a Timecode
Click on 'Other' and select 'Settings'
On the left navigation bar go to 'Timecode'.
Click on the 'New Timecode' button on the top right of the screen.
Fill in the required fields:
Name: The full name or title of the timecode (e.g., Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Training).
Abbreviation: A short code or acronym used to represent the timecode in reports or schedules (e.g., AL for Annual Leave, SL for Sick Leave).
Only applicable to: Specifies which group of employees the timecode applies to, for example, it may be restricted to certain gender (e.g., Female only for maternity leave).
Timecode type: Defines the classification of the timecode, such as Working, Paid Leave, Unpaid Leave, Training, or Off.
Is default for timecode type: Indicates whether this timecode should be the default option for the selected timecode type. For example, “General” might be the default for Working timecodes.
Is credited on exit: Specifies whether unused time under this code should be credited (paid out) when an employee exits the organization
Shift position: Defines which shift or position type this timecode applies to. If none existing then it will be created automatically when saving.
Timecode color: The display color assigned to this timecode.
Default paid hours: Specifies the number of paid hours automatically allocated when this timecode is used.
Toggle 'Is default for Timecode Type' on if your Timecode will be the default for this timecode type.
Toggle 'Is Credited on Exit' on if employee is paid out for balance on exit.
Click on the 'Save' button to save your new Timecode.
