Purpose: Doctors order lab tests which help identify the cause of symptoms and diagnose conditions such as infections, anemia, diabetes, and more.

Follow the the steps to create and draw lab orders:
Log in Outpatient.
On the patient file, select the 'Orders' tab.
Click '+ Order' to add a new order.
Choose the frequency type of the order. Note: Lab order are One Time orders by default.
One time - this is an order that will be administered only once.
Recurring - is a repeated order that allows patients to receive ongoing treatment or medication without needing to see a doctor each time.
Continuous - is an order that allows for an uninterrupted administration of treatment until a doctor instructs to stop.
Click on Order Type and select 'Lab'.
On Lab Type, select the tests that you want to be done once the sample has been collected.
Select the urgency.
Write any specific notes that you want the lab team to take note when they are testing the samples.
Finally create the order by clicking in the button.
You will see the created labs showing under the Over Due tab.
