Regimens act as a guide for prescribing medication to patients who are suffering from a certain condition. They help track the stages patients are at during the course of treatment. For example, they indicate whether a patient is in the initiation or reinitiation stage of taking their medication.
Scenario: A patient is diagnosed with HIV during routine testing. She is recommended to initiate on TDF+3TC+DTG(ART) and CTX regimens. After the regimen has been added on the patient file, you then proceed to prescribe the medication associated with that particular regimen.
Note. Regimens are configured in Medical Settings application. Click here to see how they are configured.
