Eswatini power operates on 220V 50Hz. United States power operates on 120V 60Hz. We have transformers that step down 220V to 120V, but they do not change the frequency. Motors are often designed for a specific frequency, so in some cases (ice makers, med equipment, coffee makers) equipment from the United States will only run on 60Hz

It is always assumed that an operating UPS is at 50Hz. Any change to 60 Hz of a UPS must be approved by Sam Riggleman or Mpumelelo Ncube and ensured that only that piece of equipment will ever be plugged into the UPS. Equipment can be damaged if local equipment is used with the UPS set to output 60 Hz.
