Purpose: To make sure that approvals are made by the right people.
Scenario: In the SCL department 5 people are allowed to make approvals and thus you need to make sure you create a group of these 5 approvers to ensure that approvals in the department are done by the correct people.
Key Terms:
Approval Group: a group of certain individuals who approve items for dispatch or procurements to proceed to quotations.
Follow these steps to create an approval group:
First you need to log into the Groups Application. Click here to see how.
Click on the 'New Group' button located at the top right corner of the screen.
Enter the group configuration details in the Configuration tab in the form. Note: Since you are creating an approval group select Approval on the group type dropdown ignore the Conditions.
Click on Include/Exclude.
Click on the '+ Add User' button.
Search for the appropriate user either by entering their name or UID in the field that appears.
Click on the 'Save' button to save you group.
Click on View Members to to see the employees in your approval group, if they do not appear click on the 'Refresh Group Members' button and they must appear.
