How to Document an Opportunity Note in CRM

Purpose: To record meaningful updates, interactions, decisions, or progress related to a specific sales opportunity. By keeping detailed notes, users ensure continuity of information, improve collaboration among team members, maintain a clear history of client engagement, support accurate forecasting, and enable informed decision-making throughout the sales cycle.

Accessing the App

Required Role: CRM

  1. Log in to Luvelo CRM by visiting app.luvelo.org/crm in your web browser.

Documenting an Opportunity Note

  1. Click "Opportunities".

  2. Click on the opportunity title you want to document note for.

  3. Click "Notes".

  4. Click "+ Note".

  5. Fill in the note details and save:

    • Note Type: The category of the note, indicating the nature of the update (e.g., meeting, phone call, follow-up, internal update, client feedback).

    • Contact: The customer or individual associated with the interaction or update being recorded. Selected from existing contacts in the CRM.

    • Notification Channel: The Slack channel through which notifications related to this note should be sent.

    • Note: The main body of the message describing the update, conversation, action taken, or information related to the opportunity.

    • Attachments: Any files that need to be uploaded along with the note, such as proposals, quotes, presentations, or images supporting the update.
