Getting Started with Luvelo: Organization & Groups

Welcome to Luvelo! This guide will help you configure your company’s structure and team management through Organization and Groups settings — two foundational modules that unlock powerful configuration and automation across your platform.


What is Luvelo Organization?

Luvelo Organization is the core setup environment where administrators define and manage the company’s structure, users, policies, and integrations.

Workspace Setup:

  1. Companies - Create at least one company representing a legal entity in your workspace

  2. Departments - Create departments to establish the internal divisions within your team

  3. Grades - Create grades to define the seniority levels within your team

  4. Holidays - Establish your holiday calendar for use in Luvelo apps scheduling employees or customers.

  5. Currency - Select base/master currency

  6. Fiscal Year - Define the start and end date for the organizational fiscal year. (often Jan 1 - Dec 31)

  7. Pay Periods - Create pay periods within the current tax year

    1. Only required if using Shifts or Payroll applications

  8. Global Password Settings – Manage global policies like password reset frequency and auto sign-outs.

  9. Setup Single-Sign-On - If using Office 365, setup Single Sign-On (SSO) to allow users to sign in to Luvelo with their Office 365 credentials

  10. Manage Users - Add/edit users, assign roles, and manage login credentials

  11. Groups - Create groups based on department, grade, company, approvers, etc

  12. Default App Permissions - Configure Luvelo Groups to automatically receive access to specific application roles
